The biggest coach network in Europe

Eurolines brand is the grouping of 32 independent bus companies to create the largest network in Europe. This network connects over 500 destinations covering the entire European continent and Morocco.

Eurolines offers the most competitive rates. The sea routes, taxes and tolls are included in the price. The price you see is what you pay. Most Eurolines services bring you directly to central populations, avoiding additional costs.

To ensure the continued high level for customers, Eurolines Organisation proposes a common and harmonized quality sales and travel conditions for all companies. Eurolines Peninsular was a founding member and one of its main drivers, having flaunted the presidency of that organization and as part of its Board of Directors. She also participates actively in all the committees: Technology, Quality Informatics, Marketing ....

Eurolines members have modern coaches with reclining seats, large windows, sanitary and comfortable legroom. No smoking inside our buses.

Eurolines Peninsular SA history

Julia Auto Transport, Inc. (ATJ) was established on 29/08/1956, in order to operate on national and international regular coach lines for passengers nationally and internationally.

From January 1959, the first international lines have been launched: Barcelona-Perpignan and Barcelona-Toulouse. ATJ is the first company to operate on international lines in Spain.

In 1993 Julia Auto Transport, Inc. becomes Eurolines Peninsular, as a member of the new Eurolines Organisation, recently launched to create a strong brand in Europe for international transport by coach.

Eurolines Peninsular owns eight coaches, outsourcing the others vehicles used on the network. The company runs about 5 million kilometres a year, with a turnover of more than 8,400,000 €.

These services are operated in partnership with European coach companies as Eurolines France, Eurolines Belgium, Eurolines Holland, Eurolines Italy, Eurolines Germany, but also with Spanish coach operators as Alsa and Linebus .

Viajes Eurolines SA History

Until 1989, sales and operations activities were managed by ATJ. In order to optimize the business on the Spanish market, if has been decided to split operations and commercial activities into two different companies.
ATJ would keep the operational activities with Eurolines Peninsular, and another company, being already a leader on the Spanish market, will run the marketing and commercial activities.

Between 1988 and 1989, the strategy to carry on has been decided further to meetings with Spanish companies and European partners.
Via International SA, subsidiary of the French GTI company, already active on the international transport by coach, has been selected as the partner for this new structure.

In April 1989 the joint venture Julià Via Travel International, SA is existing. Eurolines Peninsular has the majority as shareholder, 67%, 25% remains to Via International SA and 8% by Coach Julia SA..

In 2005, as reaction to the new competitors on the market, the low cost airlines, new fare are launched.

In May 2000, Julià Via Travel International, SA is renamed as Viajes International in order to improve the market penetration.
In April 2006, the group Julià sells most of its shares to the Galician group MonBus and to Eurolines France.
